Welcome Parents to Manhattan Academy for Arts and Language.

Manhattan Academy for Arts and Language prepares English Language Learners for a successful future by offering unique opportunities for students to excel in Regents exams, Advanced Placement courses, early college experiences, and on-time graduation. MAAL embraces students from all over the world and motivates them by balancing rigorous instruction, individualized attention, and focused language development. The arts are integrated in various content classes.

  • College Now courses at Baruch and Hunter; free SAT classes
  • ELLs outperformed NYC and comparable schools in the ELA, Global History, US History, and Living Environment regents; earning the highest  scores in argumentative essay writing
  • 100% of our students take the LOTE exam and pass with an average score of 90
  • Outperformed comparison schools in on-time credit accumulation in 9th grade year
